Uttar Pradesh, India: DireNote Media, widely known as DNM, was founded in December 2023 and publicly announced in early 2024 by Manas Baranwal and Aditya Mishra. The startup did not begin as a reaction to market trends or funding cycles. It emerged from direct experience with the realities of the independent music business.

At a time when speed and visibility dominate conversations around music careers, DNM has taken a slower and more deliberate path. Its foundation rests on a simple belief: independent artists need clarity and accountability far more than they need faster uploads.

From Frustration to Intentional Design

Before DNM existed, Manas was running a small independent music label. The problems he encountered were consistent and structural. Distribution costs were high. Release timelines were unpredictable. Support systems were unreliable. Royalty reporting often lacked transparency.

These were not isolated inconveniences. They reflected a system that worked well for scale, but poorly for individuals.

Instead of adapting to those limitations, Manas and Aditya decided to build something different. Their goal was not to move faster inside a flawed framework, but to redesign the framework itself. With Manas shaping direction, communication, and long term intent, and Aditya focusing on backend systems and operational discipline, DNM developed around balance rather than hierarchy.

Learning What Distribution Cannot Do

In the early stages, even the founders had assumptions that needed correction. Distribution initially appeared to be the central lever for growth. Over time, it became clear that distribution is only one layer of a much larger system.

Uploading music makes it available. It does not make it discoverable, profitable, or sustainable.

Many artists struggle not because their music lacks quality, but because they are forced to make decisions without understanding consequences. Release timing, promotional readiness, rights management, and audience communication often matter more than speed. These lessons shaped how DNM approached its role in the ecosystem.

Choosing a Service Model Over a Label Model

DNM was intentionally built as a service oriented company rather than a traditional record label. Having already experienced label operations, the founders recognized that many artist struggles stemmed from infrastructure rather than creativity.

A service model allowed DNM to focus on transparency, scalability, and education without controlling creative direction or ownership. Artists retain independence while gaining structure, support, and clearer decision making pathways.

Discipline Over Convenience

From the beginning, DNM adopted strict acceptance standards. This limited rapid catalog growth, but it strengthened trust. The company declined partnerships involving questionable ownership or repeated copyright issues, even when those catalogs showed commercial promise.

Internal decisions follow the same discipline. Disagreements happen, often on both strategic and minor operational points. What matters is how they are resolved. Decisions are made through discussion, not authority, and are filtered through one central question: does this strengthen artists and the system over time?

The Challenge of Staying the Course

Starting DNM required belief. Continuing it during slow periods required endurance.

Early growth was not immediate or visible. Credibility had to be earned without social proof. By mid 2025, DNM shifted fully into a long term, full time commitment. That transition sharpened execution, improved internal systems, and clarified priorities.

Progress since then has been intentional rather than reactive.

Redefining Success in the Music Business

In an industry that often celebrates rapid scale, DNM measures success differently. Revenue sustains operations, but trust sustains relevance.

Many music systems grow despite unresolved structural weaknesses. DNM’s response has been to design processes that reduce misinformation, slow down urgency driven decisions, and make financial pathways clearer for artists. Trends are observed, but not followed blindly. Growth is guided by principle, not pressure.

A Broader Responsibility

The founders believe that service companies in the music industry shape more than their own outcomes. Their policies influence how artists learn, earn, and make decisions.

Growing a business while weakening trust in the ecosystem ultimately harms everyone. DNM’s approach reflects a belief that building slowly, responsibly, and transparently contributes to long term industry health.

Looking Forward

DNM’s next phase focuses on strengthening systems that can support artists across regions without losing clarity or accountability. Expansion will continue, but deliberately.

The founders hope their work becomes associated not with inflated promises or shortcuts, but with honesty, structure, and practical guidance.

Their message to independent artists remains consistent with the philosophy behind DNM:

Create what you believe in. Then take responsibility for what follows.

Sunny Chatterjee: The Workaholic Mind Powering Creative Enterprises https://ntbusinesstimes.com/2026/02/04/sunny-chatterjee-the-workaholic-mind-powering-creative-enterprises/ https://ntbusinesstimes.com/2026/02/04/sunny-chatterjee-the-workaholic-mind-powering-creative-enterprises/#respond Wed, 04 Feb 2026 04:28:02 +0000 https://ntbusinesstimes.com/?p=2738

In an era defined by visibility, where relevance is often measured by followers, headlines, and sound bites, Sunny Chatterjee represents a rare contradiction. He is a man whose work reaches far and wide, yet whose name rarely appears in public discourse. He does not court attention, grant interviews, or promote his achievements. And yet, within professional circles, his presence is unmistakably felt.

Sunny Chatterjee is a graphic designer, fashion photographer, and marketing consultant—roles that demand both creative instinct and analytical precision. He moves seamlessly between these worlds, producing work that speaks for itself while maintaining a deliberate distance from the spotlight. Those familiar with his career describe him as someone who believes that meaningful work does not require an audience—only intention.

What distinguishes him is not only the breadth of his talent, but the humility with which he carries it. He accomplishes remarkable things, but you would never hear it from him. He does not measure his worth by praise or recognition; instead, he measures it by impact. His humility is as striking as his achievements, and for many who know him, this quiet integrity is what defines him as a truly good person.

Despite operating in industries that thrive on exposure, Chatterjee has never agreed to an interview. Journalists who have attempted to speak with him recount the same response: a polite decline, offered without explanation. No sound bites, no clarifications, no public statements. In a time when visibility is often mistaken for importance, his silence stands out.

What is known about him has emerged not from headlines, but through those who have worked alongside him. According to sources familiar with his activities, Chatterjee runs a customized gift business based in Bhubaneswar and is actively involved in decoration, marketing, and event-related enterprises. His professional portfolio also includes a unit with a dedicated photography section, alongside other business ventures that span both creative and commercial domains.

Beyond his professional life, those close to him describe a man whose world is intentionally small and deeply personal. He is an animal lover and a motorcycle enthusiast, with a long-held dream of traveling across India on his bike. He lives with his family, who remain the center of his life, and keeps limited contact outside that circle. Distance, for him, is not indifference—it is a choice to preserve privacy in a world that often demands constant display.

Those who do interact with Chatterjee speak of a thoughtful and grounded personality that does not reveal itself easily. It is not immediately visible, nor deliberately projected. Instead, it becomes apparent through genuine engagement—through the way he listens, the care he brings to his work, and the respect he extends to others. His presence is understated, but never insignificant.

According to people familiar with his professional reach, Chatterjee is known to and respected by a wide range of prominent figures, including film artists, political leaders, and senior business executives. He is described as someone who commands quiet regard across these circles—not through influence-seeking, but through consistency, discretion, and trust. His reputation travels quietly, carried by results rather than reputation management.

As journalists, we often equate importance with presence—who speaks, who appears, who is seen. Figures like Sunny Chatterjee challenge that assumption. His significance lies not in public statements or personal branding, but in the way he chooses to live and work: privately, purposefully, and without the need for recognition.

In a time when attention has become currency, his refusal to seek it becomes, in itself, a form of relevance. Sunny Chatterjee reminds us that some of the most impactful lives are lived beyond the glare of publicity, where substance matters more than spectacle, and where integrity quietly outlasts noise.

From vision to validation: how a resilient restaurateur built a fast-growing D2C brand through pure word of mouth

In a market crowded with luxury products backed by flashy campaigns, one young entrepreneur is turning heads — not with marketing gimmicks, but with an authentic product and unstoppable word of mouth. Swapnil Ghadge, a restaurateur turned entrepreneur, is the founder and CEO of DriftAura, a luxury yet affordable car perfume brand that has rapidly gained traction across India — all without a digital presence or e-commerce website.

Launched in early 2025, DriftAura disrupted the car fragrance space with its sleek design, long-lasting impact, and affordability. But what truly sets the story apart? In just two months, DriftAura sold 30,000+ units, purely via word-of-mouth marketing and offline strategy.

“Hard work and consistency will always beat resources you don’t have,” Swapnil says — a personal belief that has powered every step of his journey.

From Hospitality to Hospitality on Wheels

Before stepping into the world of consumer products, Swapnil Ghadge was deeply immersed in the hospitality industry. Known for his keen attention to customer experience, he carried those same principles into a different kind of hospitality — the one experienced inside your car.

“Cars are personal spaces. People spend hours commuting, traveling, and unwinding there. I wanted to elevate that experience by creating an in-car luxury ambiance that didn’t cost a fortune,” he explains.

DriftAura: A Brand Born from Insight, Built with Grit

DriftAura wasn’t born in a corporate boardroom. It began with an observation — the Indian market lacked premium, long-lasting car perfumes that were both accessible and elegant. With no background in manufacturing but a strong instinct for branding, Swapnil developed the product from the ground up.

What followed was nothing short of remarkable: 30,000 units sold in two months, zero ads, and no website.

“We didn’t even have a digital footprint. Everything happened offline — from sampling to retail testing to customer referrals. People loved the product so much, they became our ambassadors without being asked,” Swapnil shares.

Redefining Startup Success in a Digital-First Era

In an age where most brands obsess over paid digital campaigns and influencer strategies, DriftAura’s early success sends a different message: product quality and trust still matter.

Swapnil’s journey proves that startups don’t need to rely on big budgets or digital blitzes to build initial traction. What they need is authenticity, resilience, and an obsessive focus on customer experience.

Scaling Up: New Launches & Retail Rollouts

Following its breakout success, DriftAura is now gearing up for new fragrance launches and retail tie-ups in cities across India. A limited-edition collaboration is also in the works, aimed at creating buzz among younger car enthusiasts and collectors.

“We’re scaling, but we’re not losing our core values — customer obsession, affordability, and sensory luxury,” Swapnil affirms.

Building a Personal Brand with Purpose

While DriftAura is gaining momentum, Swapnil Ghadge is also focused on building his personal brand — not just as a founder, but as an inspiration for young entrepreneurs with limited resources but limitless drive.

His goals? To become a keynote speaker, share his story at TEDx, and eventually publish a book that outlines how determination, grit, and belief in your product can replace what you lack in capital or connections.

“I want people to see DriftAura not just as a product, but as proof that if you believe in your vision and stay consistent, you can break through — even without a website.”

A Call to Distributors, Retailers & Car Enthusiasts

As DriftAura prepares for national expansion, Swapnil is inviting distributors, retail chains, and car accessory partners to join the journey. With proven demand and organic customer love, the brand is ready to scale — and looking for the right partners to help it get there.

Break the Mental Barriers and Sell 2x More – Akash Gautam Inspires Pharma Sales Champions https://ntbusinesstimes.com/2025/06/25/break-the-mental-barriers-and-sell-2x-more-akash-gautam-inspires-pharma-sales-champions/ https://ntbusinesstimes.com/2025/06/25/break-the-mental-barriers-and-sell-2x-more-akash-gautam-inspires-pharma-sales-champions/#respond Wed, 25 Jun 2025 08:09:53 +0000 https://ntbusinesstimes.com/?p=1544

Hyderabad, June 24, 2025— It was not just another annual sales conference for one of India’s top pharmaceutical companies. The energy in the room reached new heights as Akash Gautam, one of India’s most sought-after motivational speakers, took the stage to deliver a high-voltage keynote titled “Break the Mental Barriers and Sell 2x More.”

Addressing an audience of 250+ top-performing sales professionals, Akash didn’t just motivate — he transformed perspectives. Blending hard-hitting truths with humor, real-life anecdotes, and razor-sharp psychology, his 120-minute corporate event was a masterclass in mental conditioning and high-performance selling. Akash Gautam’s corporate events are ‘Motivation MINUS the boring Gyaan’ and exactly the content which organizations need to galvanize their teams.

Here are the key takeaways from his electrifying session that left the pharma sales force buzzing with clarity, conviction, and confidence.

1. The Real Enemy is Not the Market, It’s the Mind

Akash opened with a bold statement: “The market share of your organization is nothing but the mind share of each of you. Your targets are not blocked by competition. They’re blocked by your mind’s limitations.”

He urged the audience to stop blaming the market, pricing, or customer moods, and instead introspect on their internal blocks — fear of rejection, past failures, overthinking, and low confidence. According to him, the difference between average and great salespeople lies in how they manage their inner dialogue.

“Your biggest competitor is your own self-doubt,” he said. “Kill that voice first — and your sales graph will rise without needing a new strategy.”

2. Rewrite the Script in Your Head

Akash emphasized that mental reprogramming is the starting point of 2x results. He introduced a practical exercise called the “Mental Reset Script” — a 2-minute ritual where salespeople recite high-energy affirmations daily before stepping into the field.

Statements like “I add massive value,” “Rejection is feedback, not failure,” and “I’m unstoppable when I believe in what I sell” were encouraged. “The brain is a programmable machine. Feed it power, not pity,” he said.

3. Fall in Love with Rejection

In a particularly humorous yet sharp segment, Akash told a story of a salesperson who celebrated every ‘No’ he received. “He believed that every ‘No’ brought him closer to a ‘Yes’,” Akash said, as laughter erupted in the audience.

He reframed rejection as a metric of progress. “If you’re not getting rejected 10 times a week, you’re not trying hard enough,” he said. “Sales is not about taking it personally. It’s about showing up with the same energy — again, and again.” Your mental muscles will grow strong for each and every aspect of your life, if you do that. Great na?

4. Build an ‘Energy Bank’

Sales is an energy game, Akash stressed. Drawing from his own routine, he told the crowd: “You cannot inspire doctors and chemists if your own battery is at 20%.”. The perception of your company’s Medical representative or Regional Manager should be very different from that of your competitor. And energy levels are key differentiators.

His advice: guard your energy like money in a vault. Eat clean, sleep right, exercise, and do one thing daily that excites you outside work. “Happy salespeople sell more. Tired minds cannot create magic,” he declared.

5. Upgrade Your Daily Rituals

He introduced a productivity structure that included:

  • Morning Mind Gym – 45 mins of reading, journaling, or meditation
  • Sales Victory Board – Tracking small daily wins
  • Evening Gratitude Loop – Mentally thanking tough clients who challenged growth
  • 9060-30 Approach of Digital Detox

“Success doesn’t come from motivation. It comes from disciplined rituals,” he said.

6. Sell Value, Not Product

Akash reminded the pharma sales force that customers don’t buy pills; they buy trust, expertise, and hope.

“If you speak like a salesman, you’ll get treated like one. If you speak like a problem-solver, you’ll be remembered,” he said. He encouraged the team to master product knowledge, understand the doctor’s challenges, and position their brand as a genuine solution — not just another SKU.

7. 2X Is a Mindset Before It Becomes a Metric

The session closed with thunderous applause as Akash gave the final push: “Want to 2x your sales? 2x your belief, 2x your effort, and 2x your resilience.”

His call to action was simple but powerful: Stop selling. Start transforming.

As the pharma company’s sales heads gathered for a group photo with Akash Gautam post-session, the atmosphere was electric. One Regional Sales Manager summed it up best: “We didn’t just attend a keynote today — we experienced a shift.”

If the roar in the hall was any indication, Akash Gautam’s message had struck the right chord. And if even half of those inspired sales professionals take action, a 2x sales jump won’t be a dream — it’ll be a data point in the next annual report.

Digital Dreams Realized: Jitesh Dhotre’s Rise as a Young Business Leader https://ntbusinesstimes.com/2025/05/07/digital-dreams-realized-jitesh-dhotres-rise-as-a-young-business-leader/ https://ntbusinesstimes.com/2025/05/07/digital-dreams-realized-jitesh-dhotres-rise-as-a-young-business-leader/#respond Wed, 07 May 2025 06:28:45 +0000 https://ntbusinesstimes.com/?p=1198

In an era where many young individuals are still exploring career options or seeking clarity on their future, 26-year-old Jitesh Dhotre from Nashik, Maharashtra, has already cemented his position as a rising business leader. A symbol of ambition, resilience, and digital ingenuity, Jitesh’s journey is anything but ordinary. Born into adversity and raised by a single mother after losing his father at the age of four, he turned life’s early hardships into a launchpad for innovation and entrepreneurial success.

Jitesh’s story begins in a modest household where resources were limited, but dreams were never discouraged. His mother, a pillar of strength, instilled in him the values of hard work and self-belief. These early life lessons would go on to define his approach to challenges and business alike.

While pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Jitesh was far from a typical student. He balanced academics with a growing interest in technology and digital media. In 2016, he took a bold step into content creation, launching a YouTube channel focused on tech product reviews. With no financial backing but abundant curiosity and passion, Jitesh built a niche audience that appreciated his honest, relatable insights.

From there, he ventured into tech blogging, using the platform to deepen his understanding of consumer preferences and emerging digital trends. This dual exposure to content and consumer behavior inspired the foundation of his first startup, Caldotech, in 2017. What began as a small-scale operation to help businesses get online quickly evolved into a trusted digital solutions agency. Caldotech’s services—ranging from website development to digital marketing—empowered small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to expand their reach and grow in the digital age.

But Jitesh was just getting started. In 2021, he launched Wrap Shopee, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand offering high-quality, budget-friendly skins and accessories for tech devices. What began as a niche idea targeting students and tech lovers quickly gained traction across India. With an eye for design, affordability, and digital marketing, Jitesh positioned Wrap Shopee as a trendy yet practical brand. Today, it boasts thousands of satisfied customers and consistent monthly revenue in lakhs.

Jitesh’s strength lies not only in building businesses but also in identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities. In December 2024, Jitesh took another big leap by forming VN Ventures, a parent company to house his growing portfolio of businesses. Under this umbrella, he is currently developing two more brands, both scheduled to launch by the end of 2025. With each new venture, Jitesh is proving that innovation paired with strategic thinking can lead to exceptional outcomes.

From a boy with a dream and a supportive mother to a visionary entrepreneur building multiple successful brands, Jitesh Dhotre exemplifies the true spirit of modern Indian entrepreneurship. His story proves that age is no barrier when vision meets execution. With each venture, he’s not just chasing success; he’s redefining what it means to lead in the digital era.

Jitesh’s journey is a compelling reminder that with grit, creativity, and relentless drive, digital dreams can indeed become a reality—and that the future belongs to those who dare to create it.
